Crystal Mountain

As one of the top skiing destinations in the state of Washington, Crystal Mountain sees thousands of locals and visitors swooshing down its slopes each winter. South of the Seattle metro area and a short drive from nearby Auburn, Crystal Mountain is situated along the northeastern ridge of Mount Rainier. You can access Crystal Mountain easily from State Route 410. 

With 57 runs spread across nearly 2,600 skiable acres, Crystal Mountain has the kind of real estate ideal for your next ski trip in Washington. The lift system consists of 10 chairs, one magic carpet, and one gondola. Crystal Mountain has been serving skiers since the winter of 1962. Emerald Downs

Taking its name from the Emerald City, Emerald Downs is a thoroughbred racetrack in Auburn, Washington, half an hour south of Seattle. Owned by Muckleshoot Tribal Enterprises, it is the home of the annual Longacres Mile.

In addition to the impressive grandstand, facilities include a barn area, a state-of-the-art equine hospital, and the Morris J. Alhadeff Sales Pavillion – home of the Washington Thoroughbred Breeders Association.

Pacific Raceways

A top destination for racing fans in the Seattle metro area, Pacific Raceways opened in 1960. Visit Pacific Raceways on your next visit to Kent or Auburn and experience exciting bumper-to-bumper action on the mixed-use road course. From 1976 to 2002, the track was named Seattle International Raceways, then reverted back to Pacific Raceways. 

The course at Pacific Raceways is 2.25 miles long and is used by various racing circuits and organizations like the Society of Vintage Racing Enthusiasts, and the Washington Motorcycle Road Racing Association. There is also a drag strip at Pacific Raceways, used by the NHRA for drag races at different times of the year. 

Summit at Snoqualmie

Plan your next ski vacation for Washington and head for the Summit at Snoqualmie. Southeast from the Seattle metro area and a short drive from nearby Auburn, the Summit at Snoqualmie is most easily accessed from I-90. Serving the skiing population in Washington since the winter of 1967, the Summit at Snoqualmie consists of four base areas. 

In the first ski season at the Summit at Snoqualmie, there was a total of three lifts and five rope tows. Today, the Summit at Snoqualmie features 18 chair lifts, and six surface lifts. There are 62 total runs across nearly 1,900 skiable acres. The longest run at the Summit at Snoqualmie is the International, measuring in at 1.2 miles in length. 

The Outlet Collection Seattle

Formerly the SuperMall of the Great Northwest, the Outlet Collection Seattle is an outlet mall set in Auburn in the Seattle area. Boasting nearly 150 outlet stores over 943,273 square feet of retail space, OCS is the largest indoor outlet mall in the Pacific Northwest. This Seattle outlet mall is open daily from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sundays 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Stores include the Nike Factory Store, H&M, Michael Kors, J.Crew Factory, Brooks Brothers, and Banana Republic Factory – anchored by Bed, Bath & Beyond, Burlington Coat Factory, Marshalls, Nordstrom Rack, and Old Navy.

The Outlet Collection also offers a variety of eateries from pretzels and coffee to the D'Lara Mediterranean Grill. OCS even hosts special events like Fashion Experiment, and offers shuttle services to the White River Amphitheatre

Washington National Golf Club

Get set to play 18 of the most lush and challenging holes when you visit the Washington National Golf Club. A popular golf destination in the Seattle metro area and situated just east of downtown Auburn, the Washington National Golf Club was constructed in 2000 and is the home to the University of Washington Huskies golf team. 

In 2006, Fairways and Greens magazine ranked the Washington National Golf Club as one of the best golf experiences in the west, and was labeled as the 5th most challenging course in the state of Washington by the USGA.

The Washington National Golf Club has hosted the NCAA Women's West Regional, the NCAA Men's West Regional, and is open for you to play year round. It is a public course. 

White River Amphitheatre

Plan to check out the White River Amphitheatre on your next visit to the Seattle metro area. Opened in 2003, the White River Amphitheatre is just southeast of Auburn and is easily accessed from SR164. With Mount Rainier as a backdrop, the White River Amphitheatre seats 20,000 fans at a wide range of music performances. 

Situated on the Muckleshoot Indian Reservation, the White River Amphitheatre has hosted top performers like Iron Maiden, Berlin, and Heart.
