Most Popular Area Attractions

Railroad Depot Museum

As you explore the charming and historic sites around Ritzville, be sure to make your way to the Railroad Depot Museum. One of the highlights of the Ritzville Historic District, the Railroad Depot Museum is a sterling tribute to the Northern Pacific Railroad Company and the impact they had on the state of Washington – from the eastern borders, to the western coastline.

Built in 1910, and subsequently converted in 1988, the Railroad Depot Museum embodies the spirit of the original depot. In it's most prolific time, the Northern Pacific Railroad Depot in Ritzville was largest grain shipping railroad in the world. By 1989 it was placed on the National Register of Historic Places. Passenger service was discontinued in 1972. Make some time on your trip to visit the Railroad Depot Museum.

Ritzville Historic District

Create an agenda for your next visit to the Pacific Northwest and head for Washington. In the eastern region of WA discover the city of Ritzville, where you'll be treated to a charm and warmth found only within the Ritzville Historic District. Encompassing nearly three blocks of the main business district in downtown Ritzville, the Ritzville Historic District is an ideal destination for families, solo travelers, and businessmen and women.

Don't miss out on the Frank R. Burroughs Home Museum, built in 1889. It was 1987 when Ritzville refurbished the home and turned it into a living museum. Also on your tour of the Ritzville Historic District, be sure to visit the Northern Pacific Railroad Depot Museum, and the Heavy Metal Tour, which highlights some sculptures crafted from iron and other pieces of metal.
