Olympic National Park
Olympic National Park is comprised of glaciated mountains, rainforests and a rugged coastal region, covering over 900,000 acres of land, in the Puget Sound area. This diverse park was established in 1938 by President Franklin Roosevelt and has been a World Heritage Site since 1981. 95 percent of the park is designated as "Olympic Wilderness", the largest wilderness area in the state.
